A House in Surat

Three women,
one table.

The Story

House of SB began at a kitchen table in Surat — and quietly stayed there.

For over half a century, Surat has been the heartbeat of the global diamond industry. We grew up within that quiet, rhythmic language: the precise hush of a loupe being raised, the careful rotation of a stone under the lamp, and the quiet integrity of a deal struck in confidence. Jewellery was not a business we decided to build; it was the heritage we inherited.

House of SB was born when two generations—a mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law—transcended the dining table to lay out a velvet roll of possibilities. One brought four decades of an expert eye trained on the rough; the other brought a modern, refined sensibility for design. What began with a single solitaire for a family wedding has evolved into a quiet movement of bespoke craftsmanship.

We operate as a private atelier, not a retail storefront. Our home serves as our studio; our salon is where we meet you. By design, we maintain an intimate capacity, ensuring every appointment is focused solely on you, and every piece is meticulously finished by hand at our Surat workbench.

Transparency is our final hallmark. Every diamond exceeding thirty points is accompanied by an independent laboratory report, verifiable directly through our portal. From the initial sketch to the final shipment, we remain personally involved in every detail, ensuring that the piece you receive carries the same warmth and dedication as the day our maison began.

What we will not compromise

I.

Materials

Surat-cut natural diamonds, hallmarked 18k and 22k gold, and coloured stones bought stone by stone. Every diamond above thirty points carries an IGI or GIA report.

II.

Artisanship

Designs drawn at the table, pieces finished by hand at our Surat bench. Nothing cast in volume, nothing finished by machine, nothing rushed for a season.

III.

Discretion

We work from home, by appointment, in private. We keep no client list we have not been asked to keep. The phone is answered by one of us.
